Tap

Struct Tap

pub struct Tap {
    pub ratio: f64,
    pub delay_line_idx: usize,
    pub tap_index: usize,
}
Expand description

A read-only tap into a DelayLine.

Each tap reads from the parent delay line’s buffer at a fixed ratio of the base delay time. For an RE-201 with heads at 3cm, 6cm, 12cm:

  • Head 1: ratio 1.0 (base delay)
  • Head 2: ratio 2.0 (2× base delay)
  • Head 3: ratio 4.0 (4× base delay)

Taps are separate WDF output ports that can feed into their own subtrees (e.g., per-head HF filtering, individual level controls).

Fields§

§ratio: f64

Ratio of base delay time (e.g., 1.0, 2.0, 4.0).

§delay_line_idx: usize

Index of the parent DelayLine in the compiled pedal’s delay list.

§tap_index: usize

Tap index for allpass state tracking within the delay line. Index 0 is reserved for the base read; taps use 1, 2, 3, …
