Struct VariMuThreePort
pub struct VariMuThreePort {
pub model: VariMuModel,
/* private fields */
}Expand description
3-port variable-mu triode for use with the grouped multi-port NR solver.
Presents 2 WDF ports to the R-type adaptor:
- Port 0: grid-to-cathode (grid conduction diode)
- Port 1: plate-to-cathode (Raffensperger plate current, depends on Vgk)
The grid voltage is no longer an external parameter — it comes from the grid port of the R-type adaptor, which connects to the grid-side passive network (threshold pots, bias resistors, etc.).
Grid current model: i_g = I_gs × (exp(V_gk / V_tg) - 1) This is essentially zero for Vgk < 0 (normal operation) and models forward grid conduction for Vgk > 0.
Plate current: Raffensperger equation (same as VariMuTriodeRoot) Ia = p1 × Vak^p2 / ((p3 - p4×Vgk)^p5 × (p6 + exp(p7×Vak - p8×Vgk)))
The cross-derivative ∂Ia/∂Vgk (transconductance) is: ∂Ia/∂Vgk = Ia × (p4×p5/D_base + p8×exp_term/(p6 + exp_term)) where D_base = p3 - p4×Vgk.

pub fn new_gnd_referenced( model: VariMuModel, supply_voltage: f64, ) -> VariMuThreePort
Create a VariMuThreePort for use in a GND-referenced MNA context.
VariMuThreePort evaluates vak = v[1] directly (no voltage offset),
so this is equivalent to new_with_v_max — the supply voltage sets
the upper plate-voltage clamp only.
