pub enum OutputImpedance {
VoltageSource,
Finite,
}Expand description
Component-declared non-ideal behavior applied as post-processing.
Output impedance classification for stage-splitting decisions.
Determines where the compiler can safely split the circuit into independent stages. Based on Harold Black’s observation: a negative feedback amplifier’s output is a voltage source (zero impedance), so downstream loads don’t affect upstream behavior.
Variants§
VoltageSource
Zero output impedance — this node is a voltage source. Safe to split the circuit after this component’s output pin. Op-amp outputs, unity-gain buffers, ideal voltage sources.
Finite
Finite or high output impedance — splitting here changes the circuit. Resistors, caps, inductors, BJT collectors, JFET drains, diodes.
