ThermalCoefficients

Struct ThermalCoefficients

pub struct ThermalCoefficients {
    pub beta_tempco: f64,
    pub is_doubling_temp: f64,
}
Expand description

Device-specific thermal coefficients.

Different semiconductor technologies have different temperature sensitivities. These coefficients parameterize the thermal model for the dominant device type.

Fields§

§beta_tempco: f64

Beta (hFE) temperature coefficient (%/deg C from 25 deg C reference).

§is_doubling_temp: f64

Is doubling temperature (deg C). Is(T) = Is(Tref) * exp(dT / t0)

Implementations§

§

impl ThermalCoefficients

pub fn germanium_bjt() -> ThermalCoefficients

Germanium transistor (AC128, OC44, etc.) – very temperature-sensitive.

pub fn silicon_bjt() -> ThermalCoefficients

Silicon BJT (2N3904, BC108, etc.) – moderate sensitivity.

pub fn jfet() -> ThermalCoefficients

JFET (2N5457, J201, etc.) – Idss drifts but no beta concept.

pub fn vacuum_tube() -> ThermalCoefficients

Vacuum tube – cathode emission changes with filament temperature.
